My research examines how people make sense of surprising, ambiguous, or disappointing outcomes. In additional to my primary research on cognitive and motivational factors influencing the hindsight bias and planning fallacy, I'm also interested in the following topics: medical decision making, rumor transmission, and curiosity.
I taught at the University of North Carolina Greensboro and Wake Forest University before coming to the University of South Florida St. Petersburg.
